Our Occupational Therapists help children develop the skills they need to perform everyday tasks with confidence. Whether it’s improving fine motor coordination, sensory processing, or daily living activities like dressing, toileting, or writing letters, our Occupational Therapists provide personalized strategies to foster independence at home and school.
What to expect during your visit:
During an assessment, our Occupational Therapist will work with your child through play and instruction to assess their play skills, attention, cognitive abilities, emotional regulation and sensory needs, gross motor skills for big movements and fine motor skills for smaller more detailed movements. They will also ask you as caregivers to share the experiences at home regarding self care including feeding, dressing, toileting, and more. Once they are done, they will write a report with an analysis of each section and highlight some goals to begin with to help your child gain more independence in daily living tasks!
