Our clinic operates on the traditional land of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Seneca, and the Huron-Wendat peoples. This territory was the subject of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Iroquois Confederacy and Confederacy of the Ojibwe and allied nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. Today, this land is home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. As a speech therapy clinic, we also want to acknowledge the beauty of Indigenous languages and the value and importance they have held throughout history and continue to hold today.
