Our clinic operates has been the traditional land of the Semiahmoo, Katzie, Kwikwetlem, Kwantlen, Qayqayt, and Tsawwassen First Nations. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties, a series of agreements made during the late 18th and early 19th centuries between the Indigenous peoples and the British Crown. We acknowledge the enduring presence, knowledge, and philosophies of many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples living in the Sudbury region today. As a speech therapy clinic, we also want to acknowledge the beauty of Indigenous languages and the value and importance they have held throughout history and continue to hold today.
