Ibtissam Mustaq created Andalusia Speech Therapy as a social enterprise. With a diverse career spanning 40+ roles—from a school cafeteria dishwasher at 10 years old to Senior Immigration Officer—Ibtissam’s experiences have shaped her leadership and passion for speech therapy.
Her vision is to ensure others have greater access to essential services, while maintaining a safe and enjoyable place to work. In her personal time, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, snowboarding, reading, writing, and exploring nature trails with her husband and toddler—often on a quest for the perfect “wock”.

She strives to support clients with achieving their communication goals by forming genuine connections and sharing moments of joy. Liv is formally trained in Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk, The Lidcombe Program for stuttering, and Fluency Plus. In her free time, Liv enjoys Zumba, embroidery, and spending time with her family and dog.

Before this, she graduated from UofT with a double major in Linguistics and Psychology and a minor in French Language. She also spent 3 years practicing as a Speech Therapy Assistant prior to her certification. Margaret has a wide range of clinical experience, particularly in preschool speech and language settings, hospitals, and private practice. Margaret is very passionate about communication, and strives to create environments where everyone can feel heard. In her free time, Margaret enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Maryam completed her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at Western University, with a double major in Health Sciences and Linguistics, and recently completed her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at University of Toronto.
She has experience working in early intervention with the preschool-aged children, as well as supporting adults in rehabilitation and acute-care settings. Maryam is passionate about helping people of all ages communicate with confidence – whether that means setting children up for success or empowering adults to participate fully in the conversations that matter most. In her free time, Maryam enjoys reading fiction and literature, and exploring new cafés in downtown Toronto.

Sydney received both her Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology and her Master of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University, where her thesis research strengthened her commitment to evidence-based practice and integrating current research into her clinical work.
She has extensive pediatric experience working with preschool and school-age children in treatment centers, school boards, and private practice, supporting a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs. Sydney is passionate about early-intervention services and takes a family-centered approach to therapy, prioritizing functional communication goals that create meaningful changes in her clients’ everyday lives. In addition, she has acute care experience supporting adults with swallowing and communication disorders.
Sydney is formally trained in the Hanen Centre’s It Takes Two to Talk® program for early language learners. She is dedicated to empowering children and their families through collaborative, individualized intervention that helps each client reach their fullest potential.

Aliya Wallace holds an Honours Bachelor in (Neuro-) Linguistics from the University of Toronto, with minors in Neuroscience and Bioethics. During her studies, she specialized in understanding how developmental disorders and traumatic brain injuries affect speech and behaviour. Her research focused on two key areas: the neurological underpinnings of Aphasia and the critical need for early speech and behavioural therapies for neurodivergent children of colour in today’s social climate.
With experience in supporting children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or genetic conditions as a neuro-affirming behaviour technician, Aliya has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide consistent, individualized care. Aliya is passionate about creating inclusive, compassionate environments and building strong, trusting relationships with the children, adults and families she supports. During her free time, she enjoys yoga and spending time with her new dog.

Salam is a proud Canadian who was born and raised in Ottawa. She holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She speaks English, French, the Lebanese dialect of Arabic, and a little bit of Spanish. Salam is registered with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) and has completed the It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words certifications from the Hanen Centre.
She has experience working with both children and adults and is committed to providing a client-centered, culturally sensitive, and neurodiversity-affirming environment to support individuals in reaching their optimal communication potential.
In her free time, Salam enjoys playing piano, singing, reading books, and watching movies. She is also an aquarium hobbyist and loves taking peaceful walks in forests.

Tanaya was born in Labrador City, Newfoundland and moved to Ontario as a child. She returned to her roots to complete a double major in psychology and linguistics at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She then completed the cycle by returning to Ontario to obtain her Master of Clinical Science at Western University. She brings several years of experience supporting children in school-based settings, with a focus on assessing and treating articulation, phonology, motor speech, fluency, and resonance.
Tanaya is dedicated to helping children and their families feel empowered, and she ensures that everyone involved in therapy feels and knows they are part of the team. She strives to be cheerful and compassionate in order to create a safe space for learning and recognizes that all feelings are valid in speech therapy. Regardless of whether you are experiencing joy, frustration, or anxiety, Tanaya is ready to meet you wherever you feel the day of your session.
When not at the clinic, Tanaya enjoys reading. She loves fantasy, science fiction, scary stories, comics, and animal and Disney facts.
